Astrology helps you understand yourself, your strengths, challenges, relationships and life cycles.
At Jyothishmathi Academy, we teach astrology to learn about yourself and make better descisions in life.
Kaladharan Master is a respected traditional astrologer with over 33 years of full-time practice, carrying forward a family legacy rooted in the ancient wisdom of Jyotiṣa. Born into a lineage of professional astrologers, he inherited a deep respect for the tradition and later refined his knowledge through formal discipleship under his revered guru, Onakoor Sankara Ganakan.
Before dedicating his life entirely to astrology, Kaladharan Master served in the Government Service – Local Self Government Department.
Driven by his calling to preserve and share the authentic traditions of Jyotiṣa, he took voluntary retirement from government service and devoted himself fully to astrological practice and teaching.
His areas of expertise include:
Over the years, he has guided more than 200 students, many of whom have gone on to practice astrology with confidence and integrity. His teaching emphasizes understanding the principles behind every prediction rather than relying on software or shortcuts, ensuring that students build a strong and authentic foundation.
“Our foundation comes from the timeless Sanskrit texts, but our practice is enriched by the living traditions passed down through generations. We preserve the methods our forefathers found to be the most accurate and beneficial for humanity, combining scriptural wisdom with time-tested practical experience.”
— Kaladharan Master
At Jyothishmathi Academy, every lesson reflects this philosophy: honour the scriptures, respect the guru–śiṣya tradition, and cultivate the discernment needed to practice astrology with knowledge, responsibility, and compassion.

“I had done two online astrology courses before this and could not cast a chart at the end of either. Here it was week four and I was doing lagna calculations on paper during a train journey.”
“What sold me was that the syllabus was public. Every other institute I contacted wanted a phone call before telling me what was in the course or what it cost.”
“My father had our family jātakas written the traditional way and I could never read them. After the foundation I sat down and read all four, and understood what the astrologer had actually meant.”

The awkward questions, answered plainly. If yours is not here, message us on WhatsApp and we will add it.
You do not need to know Sanskrit to begin learning astrology. Beginners are welcome, and nobody is expected to parse Sanskrit grammar or already understand the language.
However, as you progress through the course, you will gradually become familiar with the Sanskrit terminology that forms the foundation of traditional astrology. Understanding these terms will make it easier to study classical texts, follow astrology sessions, understand technical concepts, and communicate accurately within the traditional astrological framework.
Not for the first four weeks — you are deliberately kept away from it while you learn to cast a chart by hand. From week five we use free software, and you will be able to check what it produces rather than simply trusting it.
Recordings go up within 24 hours and stay available for twelve months. The Sunday doubt-clearing hour exists partly so people who missed a session can catch up without holding the batch back.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a Diploma Certificate from the Academy. The value of this diploma grows through the knowledge, practical experience, and supervised casework you gain during your training.
In Jyotiṣa, a certificate is only one part of your professional journey. Your real credibility is built over time through experience, accuracy, ethical practice, and the trust you develop with clients.
No, and I would ask you not to. Twelve weeks makes you a competent reader of your own chart and those of people close to you. Charging strangers is what Level 3 and its sixty supervised consultations are for.
Yes — the foundation splits into three monthly payments of ₹6,400, with no interest and no credit check. The small premium over ₹18,000 covers gateway fees on three transactions instead of one.
